You can be a coach or advisor without any qualifications. If you want to be a psychiatrist , it’s a little bit more complicated, you first need to qualify as a doctor and then a psychiatrist.

I certainly wouldn’t take advice from someone who put out a shingle without any credentials.
People will expect you to have credentials. If you are giving advice you have the responsibility to be trained.

Lol I've actually thought about that. I'm not psychic totally. But I do have good intuition. And occasionally someone can tell me a person's first name that I don't know and I can describe them
@Deeperminds Maybe it's your calling :)
@Deeperminds Actually social work might be a good job for you... They help a lot of people.

Be a bartender or priest. Same thing.

Not having a degree might make it easier for people to sue you if they feel you gave them the wrong advice. Also a degree looks more credible

Yeah that's true, but do you think it's still possible?

@Deeperminds I wouldn't advise it without a degree

You can't become a psychiatrist without a license. Perhaps being a life coach could be an option.

Yeah a life coach or just an advisor. Is it possible to start something like this on my own?

@Deeperminds It's possible, yeah. You may have an easier time if you get certified, though. Look into it.
