To exercise or not to exercise? Not sure if i should even bother again.

I used to go to the gym in high school. Off and on my while life I would get in gear again and work out at home. These last few months my body has just went downhill bad. Have no energy, sleep a lot, I'm diabetic, have had a pain in my leg that won't go away, same leg and hip have arthritis, I have a bad back, bad knees. I'm afraid to do the exercises I used to to

Exercise

Like Nike says... just do it.

Download a good audiobook an listen to it while walking.

When you look good you feel good. An when you feel good you’ll make better decisions and think better thoughts.

sounds like your ready for nursing home at 45!!!!! you enjoyed all the hot boys in the gym when you was in the gym in high school?? take chromium picolinate for type 2 diabetes. have doctor look at yoru leg. and back and knees. visit chiropractor. 😺

@Deeperminds you need doctors too. I am assuming you have type 2 and not type 1 diabetes??? doctor can inject synthetic lube into your knee joints. and you need to have your legs looked at as you could have blood clots. and depending on where they are if they break free they can block the blood going to your lungs and you could die. you need to get your tail right to the doctor now.

I knew after a while this pain in my leg must be more than just a sprain or something. It comes and goes now, been 5 months since it started. It will lock up on me when I'm laying and I have to move a certain way to get it to go back to normal. Ever since this, my back and sciatic nerve and all that has got worse. Ughh.

@Deeperminds @Deeperminds you need to see your doctor find out what is going on with leg and back. 😺

Exercise is always good. You don’t necessarily have to do the exercises you used to. Maybe a few sessions with a personal trainer would help get you going.

Here is a good personal trainer.

Sounds like you may have a bulging disk / pinched nerve that's causing your leg pain.
Get that taken care of! But also don't run or do any sit-ups or bending, but everything else you should be able to do.

No matter how bad you hurt, you just have to move. If not, it will get worse instead of better. Trust me on this....
You should probably exercise and so should I

I exercise the right not to exercise
