Where do orphans go after they turn 18?

They are sent to an adult group home to get themselves back on their feet. They won't accept those that do drugs, or those that arent working nor going to school. There is a rule like they have to leave by 8am and cant come back until 2 or 3pm. And must be in before 9 or 10pm.

I heard it's illegal to let them leave without a proper home. That's what happened to me when I was in the hospital. They wouldnt allow me to leave unless I had somewhere to live.

@SW-User A roof until then and hopefully guidance to get scholarships or a decent job before that happens. It rarely works out that way though and the foster care system is riddled with abuse.

@SW-User I was hoping that somebody would tell me that there are some programs for 18+ previously orphans. And apparently there are some, so they aren't all alone.

@Dan193 A lot of the time they are pushed to get a GED, go into the military or get a job.
And most of the time thats hard to do when you have nothing.
So a lot of the time they sometimes end up homeless on the streets

Hopefully they get adopted before that age. If not, I think they have to find a job or go to college with federal assistance.

@ScarletWitch yeah, but it's very sad that they are forced to go there, because of helplessness, who knows maybe they get abused and forced into it as well. Just sad to think about it.
