If you’re constantly trying to indirectly prove a point to others what is your main purpose for this?

Perhaps the person enjoys playing mind games or passive aggressive personality

To win the argument, I would think.
It's quite maddening when your on the other side of that behavior because you can never win with them.

The hope that they will come upon it themselves without you telling them and so will have more impact, as they would feel they discovered it themselves.
