What does "Netflix and chill" actually mean?

I have a co worker and we're great friends and he asked me if I wanted to go to a sports bar later with some other folks and I told him I was planning to Netflix and chill and he was welcomed to join me and he was like "heck yea that's even better'

Its there actually something else to it?
