Should I go back to my doctor?

So just to make sure I'm not being silly or anything i thought I'd find out your thoughts here.

I had some foot surgery done end of September and had some really bad infection. Took three different lots of penicillin because the first two types made me rather Ill let's say 😂. It's still not settled and not sure of the stinging around the parts of the foot where it was infected is normal?

By stinging I mean like wasp sting type of pain. Pain killers and ice and rest just aren't cutting it. I don't think I can drink a glass of whiskey every night for the pain 😂😂 oh well I suppose it helps me sleep at least xD

plenty of time for bruising and healing to have happened. Did you not have a post surgery check up ?

@Picklebobble2 yeh, they gave me antibiotics etc and the scars have healed up nicely but the swelling and pain is still the same it's just strange really so I'm definitely going to phone my doctor tomorrow

@Silentangel I'd do the same ! Sounds as though you could have an infection that needs treating if you still have pain.

@Picklebobble2 yeah that's my worry that it's an underlining infection still. Several of us from the same ward at the hospital all had infections!

@Silentangel Oh that's a definite worry !
Not wanting to freak you out but you hear all kinds of C-Dificile/Bacterial infections etc picked up whilst in hospital after surgery !!

@Picklebobble2 yeah I got mine from the hospital the ward is in special measures also. Not much hope for our care system. Honestly if we didn't have the vending machines and modern day stuff may as well have been a Victorian hospital haha. I know one chap did lose his foot mind poor bugger

@Silentangel Jeez ! Yeah i'd get an emergency appointment with your doc ASAP.
After all the longer you leave it the worse the original problem may actually get.

@Picklebobble2 yeah it's annoying I don't have time to be sick 😂. Though whiskey is a great pain relief alternative 😂
