Not really. Its called a life changing event. Show proof of your coverage termination and they should allow you to enroll at work.

People make mistakes. I missed the deadline once. It happens. No one taught me adult stuff either, I was coddled and then my mom died and my father decided to tough love and threw me out that week.

I've been without insurance for over 20 years. You'll be ok, they may charge you a fine though.

Have you called HR? Sometimes they have a 2nd chance grace period they don't advertise.
