@helenS Yes I'm glad the politicians won't delay or curtale their two week holiday when we've only 100 days to save the country!!!!

@helenS Angry - they take the job and this is a difficult thing - the most difficult we've done in peacetime in many generations and frankly they are all totally useless.

Christmas Eve 1999 I worked 12 hours running and rerunning tests and ensuring all our Y2K fixes were in place. I had Christmas Day morning at home and returned with most of my team for the afternoon for more tests/updates etc. We worked through until New Year's Eve. Then at midnight I was in the office as one of the managers in charge with a fair few of the team. One or two little issues but we didn't get a holiday until Feb.
