We don’t wrestle with flesh and blood each day. We wrestle with demons trying to influence us from the spiritual realm. It takes discipline. It doesn’t come automatically. You have to be on guard and train your mind in the way you want to go. Resisting Satan and his suggestions, turning away from them the minute negative thoughts come into your mind.

@LadyGrace But how? Besides reading.
Just like I said. The minute your mind wants to think negative and bring you down, put that thought aside. The Bible says to resist the devil and he will flee. I believe we’re to take charge. We talk to God....that means we can talk to the devil too, and command him, in the name of Jesus and by HIS authority, not yours, to leave you alone, and God said when you do that by the authority of Jesus, Satan HAS to flee. He is not fearful of you, but He is fearful of Jesus. You keep your mind on things of God and things that are good, the Lord said. Reading the Bible helps tremendously. It is our ar our and shield against the wiles of the devil. For example: Satan might tell you you’re such a loser and stupid and God doesn’t care about you. That’s when you tell him he’s nothing but a liar, and find scripture to back you up....”Jesus said He loves me unconditionally and that I am amazing in Him. I’m a child of God and no evil can come against me.” I tell Satan by the authority of Jesus and by His blood, to leave me, when he’s trying to tempt me or upset me, and Jesus said he has to flee. Just resist Satan’s lies and he’ll flee. He’s constantly busy, trying to bring us down. Get your mind on something positive, train your mind to do that. We can’t realistically read scripture all day long or have our nose in it, but memorized verses help. Prayer also really helps. When you’re talking to God, Satan can’t interfere. Soldiers of Christ must be vigilant, constant, and guard their minds, daily, since we fight demonic forces. If your mind becomes confused on things, that’s Satan. He is the author of confusion. One must fight spiritual matters with one’s own spirit. Makes sense. Our thoughts is always where the attack will come. So pray, be vigilant and on guard, and read God’s Word, resist the devil and his demons, change your negative thoughts and take control. Ask God to help you. He will. Greater is He that is in you, than he (Satan) that is in the world. When I could just barely walk, and I mean barely touch my feet to the floor, holding on to furniture as I moved along, I’d repeat with each step, “By His stripes, I am healed.” Words are alive and can move mountains. God is mighty. I began walking and getting around in a few days, then without my walker. Now, none. We have to claim and stand on His promises. He’s not a liar. If a person’s not living for Christ, don’t expect miracles. He’s not to be treated like a cosmic genie...there, just when we need something from Him. Another time, I was hemorrhaging and I called Satan a liar. I said God said He’d Heal me and He will!! He’s no liar! So I sat down in my chair, still hemorrhaging profusely, with tons of towels, and instead of calling an ambulance, I waited on my healing and it stopped immediately. I never bled again. You can’t walk by sight. Satan will lie to you every time. You must walk by faith!
