English is a confusing language...

For example:
Your nose runs but your feet smell
You park in a driveway but you drive on a parkway
Can you think of any others?

@SW-User Possibly, but their are languages that don't have the same tenses that English does.
SW-User
@IM5688 Huh? Every language I can think of has more tenses actually.
IM568861-69, M
@SW-User Well, I know in Chinese, if you translate the word singing and to sing, you get the same Chinese characters but it may be pronounced differently.
SW-User
@IM5688 But "Chinese" is known to be a hard language, English is not.

@SW-User I would have to disagree with you when you say English is not a hard language. English, especially for those learning English as a second language, English is very difficult and confusing. However, you are very correct about Chinese being very difficult. The Chinese language uses different tones to change the meanings of their words. This is extremely difficult to master.

@IM5688 English is not my mother tongue. To this day, it is still the easiest language I've ever had to learn.
