So I'm sitting in a hallway waiting for class to start

And there is an incredibly loud group of girls about 5 feet away talking about their past boyfriends, and I just really need help because I feel like the thin mask of sanity I keep on in public is about to slip away forever

@jnel998: What works for me is to focus on my breathing. With every inhalation I think "I am breathing in." With every exhalation, "I am breathing out." I concentrate on just my breathing, and the rest of the world fades away. Some use candles or incense, some chant, it just depends on you. What works for one may or may not work for another person. I've been using meditation for 6 years now, and truly it has benefited me greatly.
