That did happen when I was 18.
It seemed surreal. How could it be true? She was so young. . Since the majority of the young think they are immortal, it seemed like a crime against universal law. I had just received a letter from her, full of buoyancy and excitement and anticipation about the new life she'd started.
They deemed it suicide. I didn't believe that then and I don't now.
