@Picklebobble2 No mention of elephants, but I'm hearting this one for mentioning Kashmir. Why? Because of this totally magnificent masterpiece, of course:

@Picklebobble2 well the heat's not all that bad - you know what goes off when the heat sets in 馃構 <3

and yeah huge crowds are a perk of being shy to buy condoms ^^ 馃槄

i loooove Saris - the easiest thing to wear and lounge about in <3

you know what? Turbans are kinda mostly used by people of certain states and not all of them - like Punjab, Rajasthan and the kind use Turbans and even there are nuances of what they are like.

Lehenga Choli - yes <3 do you like them? :)

Dhoti or sometimes Lungi as well - they are different but yes they are like Sarongs and yes they are worn by men on traditional occassions :)

Bazaars <3 I actually love them - cause i love shopping 馃構

well not all the trains but yeah 馃槄 do you like train journeys? :)

aww thanks - i am glad you liked the food <3 :*

Have you ever watched Cricket? :o

yeah that kinda sucks to be honest that some people on both sides have this intense dislike of each other :/

Holi is by far my most fav festival and you're right its' the festival of colors <3

Have you ever watched a Bollywood movie? :)

@SW-User

Over the years i've had many friends from India. Either through work or folk i've shared houses with.

Food has been shared.

Family events attended.

The marriage of my friend to his family's chosen bride is a memory that will live with me forever.
Not just because of all the worry my friend went through prior to even seeing let alone meeting his wife to be ! But the fact that EVERYONE at the wedding made me feel so welcome to be a part of it. And the fact it was so colourful. So joyful. Don't think i've ever seen or tasted so much food !

Test matches between England and India have been watched and seen battle lines drawn and much arguing/laughter/respect for each others players follows.
But Sachin is no Botham.....馃槣

I have sat and watched a few Bollywood movies and even bought a copy of Zakhm which must be a few years old now.
But i liked the lack of sentimentality in it. I found it quite interesting in terms of understanding that Indian folk worry about the same stuff we English folk do.

@Picklebobble2 that's lovely - hehe well i have heard of Ian Botham but unfortunately he was before my time so I've never had the pleasure of watching him play live ^^

people worry about the same stuff <3

@SW-User If more people were honest about the stuff that worries them rather than all the bravado bullsh*t the current crop of politicians and media folk throw at us 24/7, we'd probably discover we have far more things that unite us. No matter where we are in the world !
