Do some hospials (In America) secretly put peoole to "Sleep" if they think they are better off?

After hearing some vetinarian stories, it made me wonder if this may have been the case with my grandpa. Made me question all hospitals. For humans and pets

I've heard they'll double up on the morphine of cancer patients when they can do nothing else (because they have irreversible damage from the chemo) especially if their insurance and savings are depleted.
