Do some hospials (In America) secretly put peoole to "Sleep" if they think they are better off?

After hearing some vetinarian stories, it made me wonder if this may have been the case with my grandpa. Made me question all hospitals. For humans and pets

Officially, no; however, as Isadora05 mentions - numerous individual nurses have been found guilty of essentially mass murdering hundreds of patients because they felt the person would be "better off".
