what is the difference between 'feminine' and 'girly'

or do they mean the same thing?

I agree with Dshhh , feminine is a more general adjective and can mean womanly as well as girlish. Girly is more specific to young ladies.
I’ve been called both, and can’t deny that I’m effeminate. I’m definitely not gay, though, and love all females!!

Girly, refers to a persons whos actions signal, Early adutlhood, sort of more innocent, school gil ish.
