They're emotional because they're taking a moment to remember the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people. Many of the boys who were sent to fight were children as young as 15. It was a tragedy.

@Magnolia She is beyond such empathy I fear.

@Abrienda I find that truly sad. To think that some people are skimming over the top of the human condition. To cry for someone you've never known, to feel the pain for a family you'll never meet... That's so bittersweet and so human.
Abrienda · 26-30, F
@Magnolia You are absolutely correct. I watched these ceremonies and I was deeply moved and the war was nearly eight decades before I was born. But that is what makes us human in the first place.

However as I happen to be a member of what you would call the alt-right you may to reconsider agreeing with me on anything...which is what happens when you "dislike" people based on labels the media provide.
Magnolia · 31-35, F
@Abrienda I agree with what you've said here, your political opinions don't change that for me. I don't watch the news or anything but all I've heard from the alt-right online is the racist, sexist, 4-chan dwelling young man who hates women and especially hates feminists. That doesn't feel right to me.

@Magnolia Oh...so based on one idiot's opinion you dislike the rest of us cause he happens to share some of our opinions? I am not sure you would want me to judge you on the opinions of someone who was on "your side" politically but who was an absolute idiot. Myself I am half-Asian/half Czech Jew-loving Zionist engaged in a loving relationship with another girl who happens to be a right-wing populist. I am not at all sure the person you mention speaks for me but then I have not heard him. Still, judging people you have never met by using labels other people you have never met invented is maybe not the best way to go forward in life.

For me I am happy we absolutely agree on this topic...sacrifice of such magnitude deserves respect. I hate and despise Communism with ever part of my being but I would not mock a Russian remembrance of Stalingrad.

@Abrienda I'm not in the mood to have this conversation today. I hope you enjoy your day Abrienda.
Abrienda · 26-30, F
@Magnolia Oh dear-oh dear! Well yes ... nice way to admit you made a mistake without actually doing so. Bye-bye.
Magnolia · 31-35, F
@Abrienda I had a massive political argument yesterday with an old friend which lead to everyone having hurt feelings so that's why I didn't actually read your whole comment, sorry. I just don't think it's worth it to have another argument.
Magnolia · 31-35, F
@Abrienda The truth is, if I think I'm wrong I say I'm wrong. If I say it's best not to get into a political discussion for whatever reason, that's what I mean. I'm sorry you were offended by something you read on my profile. I actually deleted every political post and unfollowed every political group on Facebook yesterday after all the shit that happened. Now I'll delete what's in my profile because that's how much I don't have the energy for these types of conversations anymore. As I said before: I hope you enjoy your day.
Abrienda · 26-30, F
@Magnolia Yes...I see you have make a habit of judging and now answering people on the "alt-right" without actually knowing what they think/say, including myself. This is not an argument... I am trying to get you to stop pining labels you didnt create on people you don't know and equating them with a pile of s*** as you cleverly do in your "About Me" section which you asked us to read and I did.

Not sure why that should upset you so...seems like common decency to me. And ahh...I haven't even asked you your politics because I don't judge people by that and certainly would not use an offensive emoticon if I did.
Magnolia · 31-35, F
@Abrienda I've removed my dislikes section. Just for you. I don't use Facebook or Tumblr anymore because I can't express myself at all there. I haven't used this in months and just came on to find a little support today and now I'm having to censor myself for you. I'm actually silencing myself on my own profile for people I'll never meet and the funniest part about that is that someone will just find something else to berate me about tomorrow, no matter what I do. No matter how gentle or inoffensive I try to be in my communications, no matter how I censor myself there's always somebody just waiting to beat me further into the ground. So I hope that you can smile and relax now because I've censored myself just for you. You win, you've succeeded in shutting me up even more.
