An acquaintance of mine is engaged to man child.

He's very well educated well-spoken and I wouldn't say a Brad Pitt but he's definitely not ugly.

However he seems to have this attitude where he needs to correct everybody ALL THE TIME and he's always right about everything...

she had told us stories where if something wasn't going right at his work or at home where he was working on something he would literally fall on the floor and have screaming fits or little spaz attacks...

Why in the hell won't this girl leave him?

She's not ugly by any means and fairly educated herself.

She does have confidence issues and since meeting this fella a fairly proper drinking problem 😑

We've tried reasoning with her, us being her friends.

She continuously says she knows and that things not being specific will eventually change...

Where do you see this relationship going?

She's 35 he's 46

🤷‍♂️ Conversation topic?

I see her always complaining to her friends about his short comings but not changing a thing.
@Butterflykisses24 it's tragic 😫
Dusty101 · F
She has her hands full right there!
He needs to grow up and change.
She needs to dump him. End of!
If I could go back in time myself! ⌚
@Dusty101

You spoke of my heart... 🤗

Omg, the toddler tantrums? No. Hell no..does she really want to put up with that bs for the rest of her life? I'd fire his ass if he worked for me!
SW-User
@Teggy you said he flips out at work. Oh hell no. She'll be making excuses for him for the rest of her life. F that
@SW-User ah ok yeah sorry he brings his problems home from work and flips his shit.

... I just wanna boot fuck him in the face.
SW-User
@Teggy *grabs boots* Let's go. He's a little bitch!
Once she's had enough of him, she'll eventually leave him, but unfortunately it won't be because you tell her to... it has to be her own decision... hopefully it wont be too long... maybe he'll change.. I know, wishful thinking 😁
@Somewhereovertherainbow I hope so it's been just over 5 years no
@Teggy oh wow... 😲

She's got some patience...

She’ll continue until she gets fed up. It’s really hard to see the bad when they’re handsome, charismatic, educated, and a great provider. I went through the same thing. It took two kids for me to really realize how irresponsible and childish he really is. Needless to say mine never threw actual toddler tantrums on the floor.
@VioletRayne Ugh that's awful you went through that. Especially with kids!
VioletRayne · 36-40, F
@Teggy Honestly, it wasn’t all that bad, which is another reason it’s so hard to see. It’s like there are women out there being beaten and raped or watching the kids go through it. You can say well at least he’s just a guy who won’t get off the video game to help with the kids or listen to you, and gets pissy when you call him on his Sugar Honeyed Iced Tea!
Rokasu · 36-40, M
You trying to get with that Teggy? I’m 10 times the woman she could ever be. Vote for Rokasu.
@Rokasu hahahahahahaha I'll keep you in mind
Rokasu · 36-40, M
@VioletRayne What says we can’t share 😏
VioletRayne · 36-40, F
@Rokasu Teggy said he don’t do the sharing😇
littlepinklotus · 41-45, F
Well I know from experience know one can change her mind. She has to reach her breaking point. I am sure at one time she thought she could change him. Us women try. But only he can change sadly.
KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F
Yeah that’s not good.
If they stay together he’ll be controlling her and manipulating her all the time leading her to an alcohol problem she may not be able to control later on in life.
SW-User
Oh boy, love is blind.....he sounds like a up and coming control freak with some serious ocd issues.
@SW-User oh he is. House is kept he's way or he becomes this miserable little puke.

I hate the goof

That, in my opinion, is a codependent relationship.... Not healthy...
@Soossie no her drinking is fairly heavy
Exactly.... In a codependent relationship, they need each other to blame their shortcomings on each other.... they can't leave because they need the other one to be a reason for them to keep doing their wrong doings.... @Teggy
Sapio · 51-55, M
Does his mama call to coach him on dating/ courtship?
VioletRayne · 36-40, F
@Sapio I can’t 😆🤣😂 I just can not 💀
@Sapio bahahaha

His mama should be visiting for his regular head smacks for being such a fucking twat 😅
SW-User
🤔 Some people are just in denial and can’t be helped..dunno if she’ll ever see the light of day or not.
SW-User
Life is far too short for this kind of misery. Not a healthy or free way of living at all imo
Bebop · 31-35, M
Does he have mental issues/autism? that's not normal..
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
Does she have codependency issues?
SW-User
It’s tricky because you want to get involved-but my advice is don’t. Everyone has to make their own mistakes, other people’s relationships need different things to ours..love is tough
