Are you kids really as confident and as smart as you seem? I think it's the Internet but kids today seem much smarter than we old folks. We have a lot of skills that are pretty much useless today (good handwriting, spelling, cooking from scratch, sewing etc.) and we have had less information available during our formative years.

@greenmountaingal Our generation is "performative" if thats a good way to put it. Social media gave us an outlet to show off the best parts of ourselves (while hiding the worst). Because of this it can seem as though we have a lot more confidence then we actually have. And I would say having the internet has my generation more informed than yours but I wouldnt say we're all crazy smart.
