People who do jobs that seem unrewarding and not glamorous. The little jobs. Like garbage workers. Cashiers. Waitresses. People who deliver mail by hand, walking. People who drive taxis. Dishwashers. All of the people who go to work each day. They are rarely acknowledged. Pizza makers. Corner store owners who work dawn til late. Market people. Farmers. Crafts people. Housekeepers. Maids. Hookers even. Strippers. People considered less than stellar by many. They have to earn money too with clientele who can be unsavory and mean and sometimes abusive and evil. Bakery people. And people who save lives. They may be thanked a bit more than the others I have mentioned. First responders. Paramedics. Firemen. Policemen. Nurses. Doctors. Midwives. Volunteer caregivers. People helping people hold on. Live in their homes. Take them to vital appointments. People who manage shelters for battered women and their children. Soup kitchen people. I know I have omitted many. These people are rarely thanked for the good they do, the long hours they put in. I thank each of them now. Blessings to you.
