Sketchy? She is quite attractive and 6 feet tall but I'm not so sure about it.

It's likely not legit, especially if it's done through Instagram.
Just in case they're legit, she should tell the photographer, that she's checking with her mom, and if they're serious, they need to set up a meeting, at their place of business (studio), that YOU will take her to, and check out all their credentials, and ask for professional/business references?
