what to do if i need "personal references?" they need to answer and say they know me....

the thing is, im new in the area and all friends i have are well outside the area...

should i put up a craigslist ad? if so saying what?

Just use the names of the people outside the area who know you. Everybody is new in town sometimes. The main thing is to use references you’ve talked to recently.
