Are gingers their entire life gingers?

or are they changing just like most kids that have light brown or blonde hair in their early years, but with time it gets darker. Could it be for a ginger to be light brown hair in their childhood and then turn ginger with time?

The gingers I know are born blonde and reddened as they grew into toddlers.

@SW-User really? my theory was just a guess, I had no idea that they actually turn as well. Not in the way I expected, but still, I'm impressed.
