But keep in mind that there are these military MRE (meal ready to eat) reviews on youtube, where they could eat some junk from 1945 and still seem ok.

Depends. In general I would say cheap beer since there may be methanol in it. Expired stuff could have mold and bacteria but if the sugar content is high enough it is difficult to happen.
