Is there such a thing as a moderate in US politics anymore?

I think moderates, regardless of whether leaning left or right, are the new silent majority. The lane in the middle gets wider the more polarized the country becomes. Unfortunately, voices of reason that believe in concepts like compromise, statesmanship, civility, and collaboration are being completely drowned out by the blustering fringes. I don't see a path out of this tailspin, which is why I truly believe this country is entering its death throes. It may take a generation or two, but I don't see things as sustainable on its current trajectory. I really have lost all faith in this country and its people.

@SW-User When the house falls, you can bet your ass I'll be fighting for what's left. You're right about the instability, it's what Putin wanted. There's gonna be a world war after our civil war.

@Sarin good thing we got rid of the leftist idiots. Time for a blue enema.
