Is it weird to hope that you'll meet someone fantastic who will change your life and bring so much joy to it?

I think more along the lines that I am living my life and I shall meet my lifemate at some point. I create my own happiness. I don't leave that task to others. It would be too much to burden someone with such a momentous challenge. I find some people add to my happiness and that is wonderful. I think most of us want to meet someone special and we think of this at social events.
