The fact that his kind of hashtag movements is new and urgent is really depressing. I knew about why women don't go to the police about rape when I was a teenager twenty years ago. People have been saying it for a long time, just nobody fucking listens.
@CountScrofula agreed. It’s sad that people are still skeptical of those claiming to have been assulted. It’s not an icebreaker people choose to talk about for fun

@ISpeakTheTruth That's the point of the hashtag. People are literally talking about why they didn't go to police.

I'll go back to my point about how nobody listens.
@ISpeakTheTruth a minority of false accusations compared to a majority of true accusations that don’t get reported because “they won’t believe me” .........doesn’t seem fair that a rapist walks away and probably continues to rape all because “what were you wearing”, “you don’t have enough proof”

@Freudianslip13 Exactly.

@Freudianslip13 Funny how the experience of reporting a rape is horrific, and yet people say false reports are easy. Almost like they're making up a problem that doesn't exist... 🤔

@CountScrofula 🤔 I wonder why that is
@ISpeakTheTruth you’re part of the problem. You’re doing exactly what it is that makes women think “what’s the point in reporting it? They won’t believe me anyway”

What would you do if your daughter was raped but had no evidence???
@CountScrofula THANK YOU! The literal point of the hashtag
