I find when it comes to these matters, both sides give as good as they get, along with absolutely no understanding nor desire to understand as to how.

Brilliant and accurate!! @LyricalOne

@LyricalOne Yeah and both sides have extremists that just refuse to listen to people on the opposite side for having different opinions.
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@LyricalOne I listen to the other side, when they speak politely and with an open mind. If someone attacks me, I will defend and hit back harder. The "scary far left" want civil rights for PoC and LGBT+ people, the far right want genocide. I think the far left is much better here.

@jackjjackson Thank you. I'm never sure if it's a blindspot, willful ignorance, ego or some combination of all of those but rarely have I seen such rampant lunacy in the political arena.

@basilfawlty89 I know you do.

@basilfawlty89 I am the same way but at the same time, if you live in America, you have rights. We all have rights in America. There aren't any rights one person here has that another doesn't have. That's what equality is. Somewhere like the middle east, they need rights for women since they have absolutely zero rights there. In fact, last year is when it finally became legal for women in Saudi Arabia to drive. That's a place that absolutely needs feminism and yet third wave feminists and SJWs never wanna bring that up or talk about that and about all the evil things that happen in places like that.

You are very welcome. @LyricalOne

@IWasCallingYaLarry You have some rights, you face institutional oppression if you're a PoC or LGBT+. Right now there are proposals and candidates who want to suspend the rights of women such as with abortion, the rights of LGBT+ and want to keep throwing brown kids in cages.

It's not as bad as Saudi Arabia, no, but Saudi Arabia is a dictatorship. America is supposed to be a democracy - it doesn't help comparing yourself to a dictatorship as a measure of good.
IWasCallingYaLarry · 26-30, M
@basilfawlty89 It doesn't exactly help to ignore what happens there, either when people claim to be for feminism but wanna defend someone who is completely the opposite and stands against everything to do with feminism. That is what muslim extremists do. And being a poc or in the lgbt does not automatically mean you have no institutional rights or any rights for that matter. Nobody speaks on behalf of all black people or other minorities and how their lives are or how anybody in the lgbt's lives are, either. You can't just generalize them all and say that because it isn't entirely true. I'm sure in other countries it is where gay people and other lgbt people get thrown off of rooftops and other terrible things happening to them. But no, in America we are all equal. America is a melting pot of all sorts of things and people from different backgrounds. That is what equality is. You and me, we are equals just trying to live our daily lives. Another thing extremists especially people in the media do is when someone challenges their ideals, they get upset and start labelling them every buzzword in the book and ignoring the facts they present to disprove them and sometimes even start crying as if their feelings are facts. They use their feelings as facts. Facts do not care about anybody's feelings but they try to do that, anyway.
