Are poor people suffering even more now that Trump has been in office?

From what I've seen even wic sux worse, and people on medicaid are getting denied more and more medicines, food stamps have plummeted and homelessness has risen.

Yes, while the rich have gained tax breaks. And when the full effects of the new tariffs hit and the price of consumer goods increases, unsurprisingly that will hit the the poorer community the hardest as well.

@fazer1k tariffs are bringing jobs back to the US; tax breaks encourage business, not punish it like the last administration

@wildbill83 Consumer prices will rise due to increased costs of goods production and it is the poorer communities that will be hurt most - that still remains true. And it can equally be said that tax breaks to the rich just increase the social divide. Businesses can afford a little extra cost to support the poorer communities - why doesn't Trump care enough about those communities to offer them tax breaks?

@fazer1k what would be your solution, tax employers to the point of reducing wages or going out of business? lifting tariffs and sending more jobs to China and import even more low quality crap? We've already seen that happen far too often. The only thing obongo did by threatening to bankrupt coal companies was increase the cost of coal/power/utilities....

Nafta is a disaster; sure, it was a good idea, contingent on the idea that Canada and Mexico uphold quality standards and remain competitive with US markets... they didn't, especially Mexico... aka, helped them, hurt us.

@wildbill83 Obama actually cared about the poorer community - some of us believe that's important. He is a decent human being.

I can't say the same about Trump - seeking to bias an election in his favour by paying hush money to cover up his misdemeanours and harming the poorer communities.

@fazer1k oh yeah, he cared alright... forced everyone to buy expensive insurance with a $2000+ deductible that no one could afford, then penalize anyone without insurance on taxes...
