They are my favorite!
SweetMae · 70-79, F
I had a beautiful one in my yard. A hurricane took it down.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
I love them but they mess with plumbing lines so don't have one here....I'd love to have one in the front yard.

Buried him ....beneath the willow. As the angels sang a whiskey lullaby.

Makes Me so sad. I had one in My yard that was 22. Huge and beautiful and it got sick and died. I miss it so much! They are majestic!

That's why they weep

DunningKruger · 61-69, M
They can be delightfully creepy.

iamnikki · 31-35, F
@DunningKruger yes, they are
MethDozer · M
Not really. Weeping willows are okay but regular willows I would get rid of. They look nice but they are very weak and drop a lot of big branches in a wind storms and with heavy snow and ice.
MethDozer · M
@iamnikki weepers aren't so.much because they flex so much but many species of non weepers get weaknesses their own weight. So if they get exposed directly to high winds or ice loads they snap more than others m. They way they tend to grow out more than up is part of it too.
I clean up a lot of tree damage from the result of willows.
