Depends on the context. A fetish can be religious as well as sexual but most people mean the sexual one.
Maybe this is gatekeeping but I don't consider it a fetish unless you CANNOT orgasm without at least thinking of the fetish on the way.

I think fetish is used to often in place of love, like, or desire. Just because you like an occasional spanking, or you love oral sex, or you desire to wear a nappie to bed does not make it a fetish. I love to dress in ladies clothes...I can do it or not do it as my free will allows me.. I choose to do dress up at the appropriate time and I enjoy it. Most people say I have a fetish... I'm think I have a natural desire !!

- Not everybody is obsessed with same fantasies once and again, even if they are part of their sexual repertoire.
- Not all need to give those same actions a "theatrical" Mise-en-scène to do them.

@LindaM I agree with you. I don't have a fetish just because I like different ways of being romantic, or different ways of making love, or even different ways of dressing... I just have a simple desire to do different things with the right people at the right times !!

I think it can be something that you enjoy doing or being or seeing that others may wonder why it makes you feel the way you do. It doesn't necessarily need to be sexual
