Do you call other people's mothers 'mothers'

We do it here in Korea, it's seen as a sign of respect.

When someone introduces their mother to me and says something like "This is my mom" instead of a name, I always say, "Hi, Mom!"

I bet it’s a bit more tricky when it comes to dads 😂
Rain95 · 26-30, M
@NoYou We call them 'father'

Not part of my culture...you should know that though...that it's a cultural thing

@Fernie You don't call your own mother-in-law mother?
Fernie · F
@Rain95 ?So, I have a MIL? Even if I did I would not call her Mother. Don't assume things...don't think people are clones...everyone doing the same thing...it's silly

My mother in law told me to call her mom and I told her no.
