Have you ever been loyal to someone at work and been stabbed in the back?

What did you do?

Yup. I worked for someone that turned out to be a total snake in the grass and have also worked with people that were trouble.

It's best to just observe people at work first before you get chatting with them. There is always one that may feel threatened if you do your job well. The less they know about your private life, the better.

Glad I am retired for the time being.

I’ve been there for years. I know who to trust and who not too but we got a new manager and he was being bullied by 3 others so that he looked incompetent to the owner so he’d get sacked and the ringleader would get his job. I stuck up for him and stopped him being sacked a few times and now all of a sudden he’s bestfriends with them 3 and they’re focusing on me instead @Peapod

@Littlelegskate, been through all that and it IS very upsetting and hurtful. The workplace is just brutal, even if you have been at a job for a long time. I don't know if people are just more insecure there or what, but I really have been in your shoes. Try your best to remember that there will always be some people we can do back-flips for and they still can be a big time back stabber. It's no failing on your part and we all get fooled if we tend to want to do what is right for others.

I hope you put some distance between yourself and all these people. Just do your job the best you can and try your best to not figure out their heads.

@Peapod I’m just keeping it civil for now but I’m starting to struggle to hold my tongue.

@Littlelegskate, I feel you on that one. It's not easy at all, especially when you are there to earn a paycheck.

Good luck with it all.

Thank you. Who knows maybe I’ll just change jobs or something @Peapod

@Littlelegskate, being young, you really do have many options. It will work out, even if a change needs to take place.
