Why don't people walk barefoot more often in public? Why must we be stared at?

I go barefoot everywhere and get my fair share of stares, but I honestly prefer it that way. One of my favorite sensations is being the only one barefoot in a crowd and acting totally normal.

@Sarin It is a pretty good rush. Some of my most exhilarating experiences are from when I was in huge crowds in my bare feet.
