Is killing a cricket in the house bad luck?

I heard this from a cricket, so I'm a bit dubious.

Bad news for you: that talking cricket was probably a cockroach. They are embarrassed to call themselves cockroaches because of the stigma associated with that word.

Crickets are about the least creepy insects around. As long as they don't try to be my conscience, I'm cool with them.
