It was a good try to try to be considerate of her feelings... Why was she complaining about her weight anyways?

@ahndee
Because she's obese.
Because she's obese.
SweetMae · 70-79, F
It might have been too much too fast and she doesn't know how to let you know that.
Random1Thoughts · F
@SweetMae I really wanted to help her and she knows that. Oh well!
SweetMae · 70-79, F
@Random1Thoughts Can't help everybody. Nice try though.
NeuroticByNature · 41-45, F
I would stop talking to her as much. Thats just me though. Maybe she feels shame but she should just be honest about things.

@NeuroticByNature
I am pissed off, I gave her a piece of my mind.

That's a complex story. Self sabotaging is a real struggle.

I don't understand how you think that YOU walking more will help HER.
You said you increased YOUR steps to help HER. Doesn't make sense.
She's obviously gone along you, doesn't really care and to keep you off her back over it is giving her watch to someone else.

Encourage and give her a challenge. I strive in challenges. She is a very competitive colleague so I thought she would tackle her weight problem the same as she does with work.
She complain daily about her weight. We have a corporate office gym, every time I come back from the gym she harps on about wanting to do it but nobody to motivate her. Hence I offered to help, she went out to buy the watch so we can help motivate each other.

@Random1Thoughts maybe she gets others to do her work too lol
KaiserSolze · 46-50, F
@Random1Thoughts also as others have hinted at or said basically ignore her comments about exercise because clearly she's just making conversation and has no intention of actually doing it. Next time she says "it's so great you're at the gym I wish I had motivation to go" say something like "yes it's great I have motivation to go to the gym, thanks" and leave it there.

@Random1Thoughts Might have bit off more than she could chew, so to speak.

Maybe, but what is the point of having a mouth if people can't use it to communicate.

@Random1Thoughts It’s embarrassing and a very sensitive issue.

That is sooooo smart. And stupid. Maybe they're punking you.
Whatever, tell her thank you. YOUR health is benefitting.

The jogger just mentioned how kind she was to lend her to watch to record his exercise activities. His Fitbit died and went to Fitbit heaven. She is obese and I wanted to help encourage her. She is only cheating herself.

@Random1Thoughts That's right.

She's a loser that doesn't want to help herself end of leave her be. You learnt a valuable lesson. Next time she moans about her weight ask her to stop moaning to you about it!

@Peppa
I will tell her to speak to the hands. I ain't helping her again.

She’s embarrassed, probably.
