How do I block all private messages?

I mean.. I just joined today and people are messaging me with nonsense. There was one complete stranger that asked if I wanted to ask questions about him. I said no. We haven't established any mutual hobbies or interests, so it just seems like a waste of time. Imagine every stranger you meet trying to tell you their life story and everything they're interested in, you just don't have that kind of time.

@Fernie No. I don't mind. I very much appreciate you. I really don't want to feel the need to block anyone. Although I can now understand why someone might say to not have a battle of wits with an unarmed man. 😄

@Fernie i felt hurt that he would call me an asshole.. 😞 but now I see that anger is his response to not understanding things. Maybe if we can properly educate him, he wouldn't be angry.

But I'm afraid that he may be a lost cause. I do hope that he is seeking help for his anger issues.

Anger amuses me. I don't understand it, but I do try my best to help people not be angry. 🤗

@TLTech what is great is that you are not letting their issues impact you. Some poor folks here crumble when someone blocks them or insults them.

@Fernie It does hurt me, but I try to understand rather than responding negatively. Regardless, I'd never call anyone names as he did. It really helps that other people also don't understand what caused his aggression.

@TLTech geez! I missed the first few words in your comment...that it does hurt you. Sorry. I have thick armor...faceless strangers can't hurt me. I wonder too what makes some people so damn angry and rude and insulting but...they can't hurt me unless I allow it. There are some very fine people here as well ...more than not so fine people.

@beards I have not completely changed. I want to block all PMs, that hasn't changed. Your misunderstanding does not affect my intent. There are exceptions. There should almost always be exceptions.

@beards With being stick in a conversation with someone so obsessed about his interests (due to his mental disorder), I became concerned that some people might have inappropriate obsessions. So I've had anxiety about being stuck in one of those inappropriate ones. The logical solution seemed to be to put PMs on hold.
