Who named humanity an intelligent species? Yes I know it was a human but like what was their reasoning ?

Like was it because of the architecture and inventions cause that was only a few people who came up with those ideas while the rest followed or even opposed the genius at the time .

Besicaly if these FEW people hadn't existed things would be a lot different .

It was because of a 1% genetic difference between us and lesser apes. Imagining if aliens had a 1% genetic difference from us, and that difference in intelligence showed, the same gap between us and chimps.

Like Neil Degrasse Tyson said, maybe that alien species' 2 year olds are as smart as our greatest people like Einstein or Steven Hawking. "Oh wow, little Timmy just formed the theory on dark matter. Let's put it on our fridge."

It's just comparative intelligence. We feel like we're the smartest of all the animals. So much so that we don't even consider ourselves animals, often. Yet, in the end, our behavior is strikingly similar to lesser apes.

And, neuroscience has shown that our intelligent part of the brain the frontal lobe, the "you" part's main purpose is simply to rationalize baser instincts from the amygdala. "I shouldn't eat cake. It's bad for me. ....Oh well. I'll just work out tomorrow."

People function profoundly more on instinct than they do on intelligence.
