I think my ear piercing is infected. What do I do?
Got them pierced 3 weeks ago and the left ear is swollen and it hurts audit's itchy, even though I have no idea how because I've done everything I was supposed to do. :/

It sounds like a common site infection which is (usually) easily treated.
Don't take the ear ring out.
You can buy an antibacterial solution and soak a Q Tip to clean around the stud post.
The warm salt water is ok.
In fact I have found applying a very warm salt water compress to it for 5 mins will help to losen any muck and the heat helps to knock off infection too.
Then use the ice to ease the inflamation after.
If it is a little itchy that is normal and if you clean it with the suggested purchasable solution, regularly (3-4 times a day) it should clear up pretty quickly.
If it is red angry, swollen and weeping pus, please go and see a Dr asap as you may need antibiotics if the infection is bad.
