@SW-User Mine was a trifle inconsistent. A former Irish Republican leader who insisted on me sticking stamps on upside down (Queen's head) and yet took me to heroic British war films.

@SW-User This is a true story. De Valera, boss of the side that came out on top in the Civil War, was visiting her home city on a kind of victory tour. She was chosen to make the welcome speech but it had to be in Irish. Neither of them could speak the lingo. So she read a transliteration of a translation from the English, while he read a translation back into English.
