@AbbySvenz That's exploitation. Getting sexual favors from a female illegal immigrant in return for not reporting her (may be throw a couple dollars) is qualitatively the same, may be at different level, but indeed another example of exploitation.

sorry, did I miss the part earlier in the conversation about sex? or the part where any kind of threat about reporting them was mentioned in return for any work done? 'cause I'm pretty sure neither of those were ever even considered as part of the deal to begin with....

@AbbySvenz There's usually a basic minimum any one would charge for the work given there were no immigrants around. Usually unions work to decide such rates taking into account inflation and other factors. If you were ready to pay them this amount then your original statement would be vacuous. Your original statement indicated that you expect them to charge less because they were immigrants.

Right. it has nothing to do with the fact that they do good work, don't over-charge for parts, have a better rate for their labor, or that they're good neighbors.🙄

@AbbySvenz being a very fair person has not much to do with being an illegal immigrant. Your saying 'who else will fix my car' conveys more the idea that you expect they charge less because of being immigrants than the idea that illegal immigrants are nice and fair people who almost always tend to charge less or that they're very generous neighbors-the reason yiu think they're preferable choice for fixing cars.
