If your ex wants you to be be friends with him, would you?
My ex has asked me if I could remain in his life but as a friend. There was no cheating when we broke up, we just had too many other issues.

I am friends with 2 of my ex's ,now it has been 23 yrs since my first wife hugged me
but fathers day she actually hugged my neck ,but we have been social for the kids for years .
My sons Mom asked me to borrow $20.oo yesterday
I am happy for my kids sake we can get along
but I have another ex who I don't have kids with and we have gotten along for years now even though she moved my brother into my home ,
that was a tough one that divided my family for a while ,,but we got past it
I only have 1 ex I have not spoken to ,but it still hurts and she did cheat on me
But I am planning to go and see her soon
my family still loves her and she still comes to family events
so when she comes I don't ,,,now my kids want me to end it
my youngest is wanting to get married soon and she wants us both there
its going to hurt like hell because I do still love her
But for my kids I will do anything ,even maybe pull a scab off a wound I was hoping to let fully heal first
she is a good woman ,,it does suck missing so many events over it
