If your ex wants you to be be friends with him, would you?

My ex has asked me if I could remain in his life but as a friend. There was no cheating when we broke up, we just had too many other issues.

I think it's the worst thing you can do and you're setting yourself up for more misery, the way I see it is you were friends when started and became more, why would you want to go backwards?
