If I became a US citizen could I buy myself a little gun..take it into restaurants and stuff...walk around with a special swagger..

@QuixoticSoul my son and I were in line (queue) behind a rather large man open carrying.

My son (probably 6 at the time) asked: “Why is he carrying a gun.”

I answered: “Because he is afraid.” (In a tone that meant I wanted no more questions)

His wife looked at him to see his reaction then I saw her glance back at me.

When we got to our table, I explained to my son (the best I could) why someone could and would carry a pistol like that. I told him I had two firearms in a safe in the basement and I didn’t feel comfortable talking them loaded into public.
