If I became a US citizen could I buy myself a little gun..take it into restaurants and stuff...walk around with a special swagger..

Yes. In many parts of the country you are allowed to open carry.

I have thankfully gone 43 years without needing a gun at my side. I probably won’t ever carry unless the country falls apart.

I would go to the range with friends and I wouldn’t be surprised if a few of them concealed carried every now and then. But because it’s concealled... you typically don’t know.
