We're doomed

Let's face it guys, between the constant bigotry, the fluctuating economies, the fact that America has a lunatic and a criminal running for President, and last but not least, the fact that we're living in a secret plutocracy... yeah, we're doomed. There's no way for us to recover from this kind of madness. We've got to face facts, humanity, as well as Earth, is utterly doomed.

We survived a civil war, 2world wars and multiple race tensions.....I can't see anything occurring now that is even close to a dystopian future

Constant surveillance, enforced censorship, manipulated media and information, controlled population, and the fact that Donald Trump wants to wall off America from the rest of the world to keep the 'bad people' out... or just to keep people in.

Again, I'm not American. I have no truck with American politics. My point is that we allowed it to get this far. When Trump announced he was running, people laughed... but didn't stop him. They let him go because they thought 'what's the worst that could happen'?
This. This is the worst that could happen. He's in the running, he's one of the only two choices. People ENCOURAGED this.

I agree. Nobody took Brexit seriously as a possibility, and even afterwards most who voted for Brexit admitted that they did it as a joke, like morons. But again, this is the state we got to because nobdoy was taking it seriously.
