Why would anyone want to ride the bus when given the choice of having their own car?

If you can afford a car I don't understand why you would want to take a bus. The types of people you see waiting for the bus around here leave much to be desired. Besides with a car you can listen to your own music, enjoy the heat or air conditioning, have more room to yourself and don't have to worry about missing your bus.
Some people like to save money. And some prefer buses. To each his own. The bus is reliable too. And good for people watching.

@PoetryNEmotion When the bus is late or doesn't run that day or during a certain time oh well so much for reliability.

Don’t have to find a place to park
TheSacredOne · 36-40, M
@MrBrownstone You still have to walk to the final destination anyway. What's another obstacle?
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@TheSacredOne Ever gone to a festival in a major city? Good luck finding a place to park.
TheSacredOne · 36-40, M
@MrBrownstone I have. It's not easy.

Well it's either 99$ a month for a bus pass or 300 a month for a car sooo

@TheSacredOne you sound like very sad people I once knew
TheSacredOne · 36-40, M
@Fernie I'm not a snob I just value being alone, personal space, peace and quiet. I'm not a people person.

@TheSacredOne i'm on your side.
For me parking is too expensive where i work so i bus it

and you also don't have to deal with traffic which is bumper to bumper all day every day or criminally expensive repairs, insurance, excise tax,gas prices,the environment,parking, inspections and by the way...that remark about the type of people who take busses are less than people owning cars is ignorant
TheSacredOne · 36-40, M
@Fernie I never said they were less. Most of the time around here they aren't the most upstanding members of society.
I couldn't agree with you more.

I didn't mind taking it when I used to study. Its nice just being a passenger, not having to drive. Especially after a long day.
