It's time to vote them off the island.

tape how everyone is when he is not around. keep recording when he shows up and how the mood of everyone changes.

Confront them about it and tell them to cut it out
@GlitterBug If I confront this person about anything, he will get very defensive and try to turn it around on me. He will just make out I'm crazy for thinking he is in a bad mood.
GlitterBug · 22-25, F
Yeah, I’ve a really bad habit about doing that too. I find that the tone in a conversation can change the entire thing, and even if I get defensive like that it sometimes just takes a reminder that it’s a conversation not an attack. It might work on them too if you try to keep the whole thing very calm and civil. He’s not me though so it’s hard to say how he would react. @lauriethecolourful

Try to avoid, theres nothing you can say to suddenly change a person like that

Two things depending on my mood. I avoid the person or try to make them feel better.
VolpeTredici · 31-35, M
Move, or have them move. Pretty much the only solution. You can avoid them, but that will build resentment too.
Hmmm....are there any flights of stairs available?
How about Anti-Freeze in their Kool-Aid?

My wife's father was like this during her childhood. Impossible to live with and inevitably drove all the family away. She feels she never had a real Dad. They stay in touch but it's strained. Hes complex, she manages it. I support her where I can.
Leave that person alone
@StrugglingSoul It's difficult to leave them alone when they are constantly on everyones case for no reason.
