I've been to LA once. Didn't like it. Too many people, too much traffic, and it's way overhyped. The people there are either fake, trying too hard to be somebody, are criminals, or just otherwise sleazy. Oh, and everything's expensive as well.
I'll admit I'm definitely not a city person to begin, but of the ones I've been too, I would say Nashville is a better city (even with the country music). At least there, I felt the people were more genuine and I wasn't going to get stabbed in the seedier parts of town. Hell, I'd pick New York or Philadelphia over LA.

I'm sorry! I just have a lot of friends that moved out there and won't shut up about how awesome they think it is, and when I went to visit them, was left disappointed. I guess I just had some built up rage that I needed to vent.
