Race is biological. Ethnicity is cultural. So an example would be someone who's American in their ethnicity because they were born and raised in America, but their physical characteristics belong to a certain race, such as African.

Yup- ethnicity is derived from the environment in which a person is raised- including languages too.

Race is a man-made construct and isn’t a thing- we are all the same human race; we may differ in obvious ways in appearance, but we are all the same race.
